About me

With 20 years of toastmaster experience John Grosse is the ideal choice to help ensure that your celebration event runs smoothly, as planned and in a dignified and friendly atmosphere. Although often dressed formally his manner will be as formal or informal as you want it to be. As a Master of Ceremonies he is happy to wear less formal or different uniform, which could be his dark green Town Crier’s uniform of authentic 1780 style.

John has a flair for organisation and ‘stage-management’ which, when combined with his commitment to get the very best from every event, enables him to offer a unique service in planning and running events. For weddings and other special events he performs vital functions including being available in the months beforehand to give advice on protocol and procedures, venues and catering, photographs and videos, music and entertainment, speeches and toasts.

On the big day, in distinctive uniform and with eloquent voice, John will make necessary announcements. He will support Royalty, Mayor, President, Chairman, Bride and Groom, other dignitaries and guests as well as working with those providing professional services including banqueting staff, caterers, musicians, photographers etc. Blessed with a deep, clear voice and a dramatic flair, he can use these to good effect in reading poems and prose in civil wedding ceremonies and in reading cards at the Reception. (An experienced professional he will not be overcome by emotion as can happen to a dear friend or member of the family.)

John does not just want to be the efficient professional that runs your event to perfection, he also wants to be an integral part of your celebration and help to engender sociability and friendliness. He likes to have details of the prominent people and to meet organisers beforehand so that he can establish a personal relationship that will extend into the event and help to ensure its complete success.
